Kostas Tsimikas could be back in full training for Liverpool next week, after missing tomorrow’s game with injury.
That’s according to Jurgen Klopp. The Liverpool boss was conducting his pre-Fulham press conference via Liverpool FC on YouTube. When asked for an update on the injured players, Klopp was positive about Tsimikas.
“Kostas, unlucky in a training situation,” said the German. “But I saw him now, he was out on the pitch so he might be – in his opinion anyway – might be ready to train next week, which is helpful,”
With the new season now upon us, Liverpool seem to racking up a bit of an injury list. Although he’s not a first-choice option, it’ll be nice to have Tsimikas available again.

Liverpool looking a little light on numbers
Beyond Liverpool’s first eleven, they actually have a few injuries to contend with ahead of the game against Fulham tomorrow.
That could make the bench rather interesting for The Reds first Premier League game of 2022/23.
During his press conference, Klopp seemed unsure as to whether or not Naby Keita could be included tomorrow. The Guinean has been struggling with illness and may not be ready in time.
Should he be left out, he’ll join Ibrahima Konate and Curtis Jones, who are definitely unavailable.

Also missing will be Diogo Jota and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who are longer-term absentees. Additionally, Liverpool will be without back-up goalie Caoimhin Kelleher, as well as Tsimikas.
Thankfully, Alisson Becker looks like he’ll be absolutely fine, and there are as of yet no issues with any key players.
It speaks to the quality within the Liverpool squad that they still shouldn’t struggle to get a good squad out at Craven Cottage.
Still, it’ll be a relief when the likes of Tsimikas are able to return to the fold.
