Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton is still expected to join Blackburn Rovers on-loan this summer.
That’s according to the Lancashire Telegraph, who claim that a deal has been agreed for the Liverpool youngster.
The deal was reportedly done ‘earlier this month’ but was delayed due to availability issues within the Liverpool squad.
As a result, Morton headed to Austria with Liverpool. It’s claimed that he could play a part for The Reds in one of their games this weekend, before completing his move to Rovers. An announcement is reportedly likely to come next week.

The perfect move for Morton’s development to continue
This is good news for Morton. It had looked as though his move to the Championship may not be sanctioned after all.
That would have meant another year of scrapping for minutes in a stacked Liverpool squad. Instead, he’ll now get the opportunity to play regularly in the second division.
In terms of his development, it should hopefully be a big shot in the arm. Nothing can compare to playing week on week for a young player and he should progress quickly.
Morton is clearly abundantly talented. Jurgen Klopp recently called his performances in training ‘incredible’ and he held his own when playing Premier League and Champions League football last season.

The one question mark is potentially around his physicality. He is a very slight young man, and may struggle with the strength of opposition in the Championship.
That side of his game will only develop by playing regularly. If he get his physical attributes on a par with his technical ones, then he could well have a long-term future at Anfield.
We may still get one last look at Morton in a Liverpool shirt before he heads off. He’s unlikely to feature in the Community Shield against Manchester City, but could be involved on Sunday at Anfield against Strasbourg.
