Liverpool academy goalkeeper Harvey Davies was today continuing to train with the first-team in Austria.
The 18-year-old has been one of the many positives to come out of The Reds pre-season campaign.
With Alisson Becker and Caoimhin Kelleher both out injured, Davies has played twice as he serves as understudy to Adrian.
On Thursday afternoon, Klopp confirmed that Alisson would not be ready for Saturday’s Community Shield tie against Manchester City. As a result, it looks as though Davies’ continued presence is in preparation for a spot on the bench this weekend.
All smiles in the sun
Elsewhere, Liverpool players were all smiles as they prepared to head home after a week at the training camp.
At Liverpool, no player’s smile shines brighter than Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian’s future has hopefully now been put to bed after some rumours were doing the rounds of a possible move away.
And Bobby looked as happy as ever on Thursday, despite the fact that his ears were being flicked by Fabinho and Luis Diaz.
With friends like these, eh Bobby!
Alisson gearing up, but not ready yet
It was also good to see Alisson back out on the grass again. The 29-year-old’s pre-season has been badly interrupted by injury and he’ll have to watch on from the stands for the Community Shield.
Nevertheless, he should be back and ready for Fulham on 6th August.
The Brazilian looked sharp as he was put through his paces .
Until next time, Austria
Today was likely to be the last session for Liverpool before they head home. There isn’t much of a turnaround time until they face City on Saturday evening.
It has been a wholly successful camp for The Reds yet again in Austria. Fitness looks to have been restored ahead of the season and bonds have hopefully been formed amongst new players.
Here’s a few more shots as Liverpool wave goodbye for another year.
