The agents of Roberto Firmino have now started pushing for a transfer, according to reports. Liverpool have set a minimum price.
This comes from Calciomercato. They claim that it’s actually Roberto Firmino’s agents who are shopping about to find a move for the Liverpool player.
Top of their list is Juventus, who are open to a transfer. They don’t want to pay more than around £19m, however, while the Reds have their minimum price at £25m. Unless Liverpool lower those demands, this one likely won’t happen.
But Firmino is looking to have a guaranteed first-XI role ahead of the World Cup. He’s apparently worried that Tite won’t look favourably on him if he’s sitting on the bench behind Darwin Nunez.
Thus a transfer this summer would help things and Liverpool would naturally be at least semi-open to things. The Brazilian is in the final year of his contract, after all.
Agents of Roberto Firmino push for transfer
As we wrote yesterday, we can’t see Liverpool getting a fee for Firmino that would be worth what he could bring next season. The forward just offers so much and while Nunez is gelling with the team, having the no.9 in the squad will be neatly invaluable.

And if not invaluable, certainly more than the £20m Juventus are supposedly willing to pay. Honestly, we’re not sure £25m is even enough – what would Liverpool actually do with that money? They certainly wouldn’t find someone who can replace Firmino for the upcoming season.
At the very most, it would be another player who requires time to gel like Nunez. That could end up costing Liverpool as they chase trophies. Holding onto Firmino just makes more sense than a sale, even if his agents are trying to find one.
