Harvey Elliott has made an early Fabio Carvalho prediction. The two played together in Fulham’s academy system.
It’s safe to say that Harvey Elliott is excited to play with Fabio Carvalho again. Both youngsters came from Fulham, of course, and now represent the future of Liverpool’s attacking midfielder, along with Curtis Jones.
And Elliott makes no secret of the fact that he’s thrilled to be linking up with his former teammate again. He thinks it’s a ‘really special’ thing.
“I’m sure Fabio will show everyone in the world why Liverpool signed him,” said Elliott, per the Athletic. “He’s a great kid. I’ve known him for many years.
“We kept in contact after I left Fulham, so to be able to play with him again is really special.”
Elliott makes Fabio Carvalho prediction
Yeah, we’ll go along with Elliott here and say that Carvalho will take no time at all to convince people. He’s a wonderfully talented player and one who should fit in at Liverpool perfectly.
Of course, this isn’t even the first time that Elliott has made those feelings clear. He told the Liverpool Echo a few months ago that Carvalho was his favourite teammate while coming through at Fulham.
And so it’s easy to see why this would mean so much to him. Leaving a club is a risk for anyone and it means new people, new teammates, a new environment and new pressures. Getting to link back up with someone you felt comfortable with is a true luxury, then, and Elliott certainly isn’t letting that pass him by.
We can’t wait to see what the two of them will do in Red, then. Liverpool are resting their future on the pair, really, and we predict a big season for attacking midfielders. In a year’s time, we could be looking at something very special.
