Liverpool will have to pay £20m if they want to sign Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa.
That’s according to The Daily Mail, who claim that Villa have now named their price for the 18-year-old prospect.
The Mail claim that Chukwuemeka is a target for PSG, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona and Newcastle United. Liverpool would seemingly have big competition for the midfielder.
He could be available this summer, having so far been unable to agree to a new contract. Chukwuemeka’s current terms expire next summer.

Liverpool join interested parties in Chukwuemeka
Although they’re not mentioned in this specific report, Liverpool have been credited with an interest in Chukwuemeka previously.
Last November, The Guardian claimed that The Reds are one of the sides in the hunt for the youngster.
Interestingly, they also claimed that the player absolutely will not sign a new contract at Villa. If that’s the case, then they’ll have to let him go in the next six weeks, or risk losing him for free next year.
With so many interested parties, it may be difficult for Liverpool to make their case. However, The Reds are on the lookout for a midfield option, and if Chukwuemeka made the move he’d likely get some games.

The Austrian-born youngster’s reputation was enhanced even further this summer, though, meaning competition may be even more fierce.
After a stellar tournament, Chukwuemeka was named in the Team of the Tournament at the U19 European Championship. There he was joined by Liverpool centre-back Jarell Quansah, having helped England to the trophy.
With the championship’s a hot-bed for scouts from across Europe, he’ll have likely come onto a few radars.
£20m is a big price for someone with just 15 senior appearances to his name. But Villa teammate Ollie Watkins called him ‘unbelievable’ via Villa TV last year. He has the potential to be brilliant. In the long-run, it could even be a steal.
