Roberto Firmino absolutely loves the new Liverpool away kit, which was unveiled today.
As seen on a video from the Liverpool FC official Twitter page, Firmino instantly fell in love with the swirling design on the kit.
“Oh my gosh!” said Bobby upon being shown the shirt for the first time. “Oooh, my style brother!”
Firmino wasn’t the only one loving the new shirt. Curtis Jones proclaimed that it has ‘sauce,” while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain deemed it to be ‘funky.’
Captain Jordan Henderson said it’s ‘quite nice,’ and ‘sharp’ was Thiago Alcantara’s verdict. Looking good, lads!
Lights, camera, action on 2022/23
The Reds will be kitted out in their new strip this afternoon as they take on Manchester United in Bangkok.
With its iridescent design, it’s one that could split opinions. Traditionalists won’t be best pleased, while some will doubtless think the design is a little lazy.
We like it though. The pink and green on the shirt have a somewhat hypnotic quality to them. In a bit of a mixed bag of Nike shirts for Liverpool since 2020, this is probably one of their stronger efforts.
The players like it and it’ll obviously appeal to kids of all ages, as well as the burgeoning football shirts as fashion scene.
As ever with these things, it always looks better on the pitch, too. More specifically, it always looks better on the pitch with Liverpool winning games and lifting trophies.
There’s not long to go now until Liverpool are out in their new kit in-front of thousands of fans in Thailand. 2022/23 is now officially ready to begin.
After last season’s almost historic campaign, expectations are high. A win against the old rivals would kick off the new season in the most perfect way possible.
