Everton are looking at signing Gini Wijnaldum, according to reports. The Dutchman is used to Merseyside, of course.
This comes from 90min. They claim that Paris Saint-Germain are ready to ship out Gini Wijnaldum after just one year.
The Parisians picks Wijnaldum up on a free transfer back in 2021 but never figured out how to use him. Things fell apart so quickly that the midfielder wasn’t even on their squad list for the Champions League knockout stages. That’s quite the fall from a player who won it in 2019 as a starting player.
PSG are set to sign Renato Sanches from Lille and wish to lose Wijnaldum – preferably, on the permanent deal. There’s interest from all over Europe in the player but he would prefer a return to England.
Leicester City have a ‘keen interest’, while West Ham United and Wolves are also keeping an eye on the situation. The most interesting name, though, is Everton. The Toffees see a chance to sign a Liverpool ‘legend’.
Everton look at Gini Wijnaldum
It would hurt quite a bit to see Wijnaldum move to Goodison – there’s no denying that. He’s been a big part of this incredible Liverpool side, after all, with Jurgen Klopp labelling him a ‘legend’ at Anfield.
“I will miss the player he is like crazy,” he went on to say as Wijnaldum left the club. “Highest-quality ability, one of the smartest players I have ever had the privilege to coach.

“His contribution was off the scale, a manager’s dream.”
There’s also no denying that he’d be a wonderful player for them and a fantastic signing. Unless, of course, they managed to screw it up as badly as PSG have.
Really, though, it would just be nice to see Wijnaldum go somewhere that he can rebuild his reputation. The move to France has been a disaster and not one he deserved. But many Leicester would be better than Everton, yeah?
