Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to stay at Liverpool and see out the final year of his contract.
That’s according to Goal, who claim that ‘Anfield sources’ have suggested to them that the 28-year-old will remain at Liverpool.
Despite interest from Premier League clubs, Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly ‘likely’ to be a Liverpool player next season.
Aston Villa, West Ham United and Newcastle United are all claimed to have ‘long-standing’ interest in the player. But that’s unlikely to matter, as he continues at Anfield for a sixth season.

Ox set to stay
There are some portions of fans who may think that Oxlade-Chamberlain’s time at Liverpool has run its course.
He was out of the side from March onwards last season and often cut a forlorn figure when seen.
But that would be to ignore the contributions he made earlier in the season. Around the turn of the year, with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah at AFCON, he filled in brilliantly on the wings, bagging goals in consecutive league games.
Despite his frustration later on in the season, former Red Adam Lallana recently called his performances during this period ‘unbelievable‘ via BBC Radio 5 Live. That might be slight stretch, but nevertheless, he did well.

With established dressing room figures like Divock Origi and Mane also departing this summer, Ox’s exit could be one too many.
There had been some suggestions barely a week ago that the former Arsenal man would be let go this summer. It seems to be the case that it’s very much up to the player himself.
Should Ox ask for offers to be listened to, it appears that Jurgen Klopp won’t stand in his way.
But with the player seemingly willing to turn things around at Anfield, it now looks as though he’ll get another shot.
