Sadio Mane has been pictured in a Bayern Munich training top as he prepares for his exit from Liverpool.
As posted by journalist Philipp Kessler on Twitter, Mane could be seen signing autographs whilst in the colours of his new team.
The Senegal international is currently in Munich as he prepares to put the formalities on his move from Liverpool.
Mane is expected to complete his departure and be formally announced as a Bayern player tomorrow.
Mane still in red
A strange, strange sight from a Liverpool point of view. Having worn the red of Liverpool for six years, it’s now a new shade of the colour for Mane.
In that respect, it isn’t quite as jarring as it could have been. Had the 30-year-old joined a Barcelona, or a Real Madrid for example, as some pundits suggest he should have, it wouldn’t compute at all.
At least with Mane still wearing some degree of red, the brain can slowly ease into the change!
Still, it brings it home that we’ll no longer be seeing his qualities around Anfield. Mane has given Liverpool fans so many magical moments since his arrival in 2016. Take a look at what we think are his top five moments at Liverpool here.
For now, he’s still technically a Liverpool player. But unless there’s some incredible unforeseen circumstance, he won’t be for much longer.
We’ll just have to get used to the image of him wearing another team’s strip. As we’ve had to do with many heroes down the years, it’s time to move on.
At least he won’t be tearing up the Premier League with another English club. That really would be difficult to stomach. As it is, we’ll look forward to a possible reunion in the Champions League over the coming years.
