Liverpool have put five players on the transfer list as they look to raise funds, according to reports. They have a new no.1 target.
This comes from the Mirror. They claim that Liverpool have five players that they’re looking to sell right now.
The biggest one is Sadio Mané, of course. The Reds’ no.10 openly wants to leave the club as he enters the final year of his contract. Liverpool are willing to let him go and Bayern Munich lead the charge there.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another player in the first-team squad who could leave as he enters that final year. The Reds are looking for suitors, with West Ham United and Manchester United apparently considering a bid. We won’t hold our breath on the latter one there.
Takumi Minamino is available for £17m, should anyone want him. It seems that certain clubs do after his exploits in the cups last season. Liverpool could raise a significant amount of cash there.
Then there are two loanees. Nat Phillips and Neco Williams are likely heading out of Liverpool this summer – though, the article makes it clear that the Reds could consider further loan deals.
So why the exodus? Liverpool want to sign a midfielder next summer and Jude Bellingham tops the list. The Reds need both space and funds for the teenager, however. Selling off fringe players is certainly the best way to do that.

Liverpool have five on the transfer list
Well, it all makes sense. Liverpool could make fairly significant changes to their squad here – especially if Mané leaves as expected.
But Oxlade-Chamberlain and Minamino leaving would also change the look of the bench. We imagine the likes of Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Fabio Carvalho will be the go-to players for Jurgen Klopp, then.
Get ready for big changes this summer, it seems. And with any luck, one massive change next summer with Bellingham.
