Darwin Nunez's latest likes on Twitter are now very interesting ahead of Liverpool move

Darwin Nunez has ‘liked’ some posts on Twitter that will make Liverpool fans very excited indeed.

As per Benfica’s official announcement this morning, a deal has now been agreed to take their star man to Liverpool.

Up until now, Nunez himself had remained quiet on the transfer, focussing on the international friendlies with Uruguay. However, with his season now over and a move looking imminent, he has made his feelings known.

First of all, he ‘liked’ a post from 433 which mocked him up into a Liverpool shirt. Next, he showed his appreciation for a post from Goal which showed Nunez celebrating with former Liverpool man and fellow Uruguayan Luis Suarez.

“Liverpool’s past and Liverpool’s future,” says the post. Darwin Nunez likes this and so do millions of reds worldwide!

Haaland announced, Nunez on the way

After Manchester City officially unveiled Erling Haaland on Monday, Liverpool fans will be hoping for something similar with Nunez today.

The two players look likely to be the biggest moves of the off-season in the Premier League. How they fare in England could well determine where the title ends up next season.

Somewhat similar in style, City were even claimed to be considering Darwin if they couldn’t get the deal for Haaland done.

As good as Haaland is, he often doesn’t touch the ball much during a game. The name of his game is sticking the ball in the net. Although most teams need an extra bit of that in their game, City generally don’t, not really.

More pertinent to how he will fare is whether the Norwegian can get to grips with Pep Guardiola’s possession game. If he can take his game to a more all-round level he’s going to be unstoppable.

As for Nunez, he looks like a good fit for The Reds. Able to drift out wide or play through the middle, he has the pace, versatility and ball-carrying ability to slot into Jurgen Klopp’s front three.

Both Haaland and Nunez come to England in their early twenties. If things go as their price-tags suggest they will, these two can dominate the centre-forward landscape in the Premier League for the next decade.

City have got their man sealed and delivered, it’s looks just a matter of time before Liverpool can say the same.
