Liverpool agree terms with Aurélien Tchouaméni, according to reports. The AS Monaco midfielder could move soon.
This comes from RMC Sport. They claim that both Liverpool and Real Madrid have agreed on terms with Aurélien Tchouaméni. The French midfielder is widely expected to leave AS Monaco this summer and one of these two clubs should get him.
The two clubs now have to wait and Tchouaméni picks his preferred destination. Once that’s clear, firm negotiations with Monaco can begin.
Monaco want over £60m for their star asset, however. But with that fee hardly a secret, both teams must feel relatively confident of paying it once they have the green light.
Liverpool agree terms with Aurélien Tchouaméni
Well, this can brighten up the day a bit. Liverpool have had links to Aurélien Tchouaméni for some time now and the Frenchman might be on his way.
It’s also interesting that the 22-year-old wants a few more days to decide. The two clubs meet in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday, of course, and we wonder if Tchouaméni is waiting for that one. Either side could make a massive statement in their pursuit for the player.
Reports have claimed for a while that Real didn’t quite see value in Tchouaméni, though. Or at least, not for the price that Monaco wanted. We suspected that failure in signing Kylian Mbappé could change their stance, however – and that failure came to pass.
Hopefully, Liverpool can get this one over the line.
