Lazio are interested in signing Takumi Minamino this summer and Liverpool will definitely sell him.
That’s according to Calciomercato, who claim that The Reds forward will be on his way out of Anfield this transfer window.
Despite a contract running until 2024, Minamino will reportedly be allowed to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
It’s claimed that Maurizio Sarri’s team will aim to sign the 27-year-old, who has 10 goals for The Reds this campaign.
No need to sell Taki
Minamino leaving Liverpool is something that is easy to see coming. The forward has only started one game in the last two months and may look for more regular football elsewhere.
However, it could be a mistake for Liverpool to readily look for suitors. His 10 goals this season have been absolutely crucial in The Reds completing a domestic double.
7 Greatest Premier League Managers of All Time
The Japan international has stepped in whenever needed and has made his mark on an incredible season for Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp recently said how difficult is is for him to continuously leave Taki out of the side, calling him ‘incredible’ via Liverpool FC on YouTube. His work-rate and attitude have continued to be exemplary and he seems to be a popular member of the dressing room.
He once again showed his quality with a superb goal against Southampton last night. That may have served as a reminder to Klopp and the Liverpool fans, but it may also alert potential suitors, like Lazio.
As yet, there is no indication that Liverpool will definitely sell Minamino. If he’s happy with his role and settled in the club, there’s no real reason to move him on.
