Danny Mills thinks that Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara could ‘easily’ play for Manchester City.
Speaking to Sky Sports via Football Daily on Twitter, Mills included the 31-year-old in his Premier League Team of the Season.
Justifying his selection, Mills said that Thiago would slot straight into Pep Guardiola’s side.
“Thiago, I think you put him in there,” said the pundit. “He could easily fit into a Man City team as well the way that he’s playing, the ability on the ball.”
If he can get into this current Liverpool team, then he can fit into any team in the world without question.
Thiago comes into his own in April
On ability alone, Thiago should make any ‘dream team’ scenarios. In recent months the Spaniard has gone about reminding everyone of exactly why he has graced some of the world’s very best midfields.

A below-par showing in Villarreal last night aside, he was been tremendous throughout April for Liverpool.
The Reds schedule looked punishing at the start of the month. Visits of Manchester United and Everton, combined with Champions League quarter and semi-finals, and two meetings with Manchester City.
If that wasn’t enough, Liverpool also had to contend with a trip to face an in-form Newcastle United team, too.
Liverpool came through it with something to spare though. Undefeated and with a place in both FA Cup and Champions League finals. Bravo.
Thiago played a part in every single one of Liverpool’s ten games across April and last night’s game in Spain. Eight starts out of ten show just how important he has now become to Jurgen Klopp.
This is exactly why Liverpool broke their transfer model to sign Thiago for £25m in 2020. He is a serial winner with vast experience at the very highest level. Not only that, but he just happens to be a supreme and unique footballer too.
After a stop-start career on Merseyside up until a couple of months ago, Thiago’s career could now be set for its most glorious chapter of all. He is happy and settled and Liverpool and now looks ready to make a lasting impression.
