Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Conor Coady says that he hopes Liverpool don’t win all their remaining games in the Premier League this season.

Speaking to premierleague.com, Coady joked that he hoped The Reds would lose at least one of their games – at home to Wolves on the final day.

Wolves are also still yet to play Manchester City too. The former Liverpool academy player is hopeful his team can get a result against both title challengers.

“I hope they don’t both go and win all the games if I’m being honest with you because we’re on there!” said Coady when asked if he thought Liverpool and City would win all their remaining games.

The 28-year-old says he can’t wait for his team to play their part in the title race.

“You want to test yourself against the two teams we’ve watched today. We’re all telling everybody how good they are and they really are world class teams, but we can’t wait for them yeah,” he said.

City’s troubles against Wolves

Wolves have a very encouraging record against City and a pretty dismal one against Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola’s side do have a more favourable looking run-in, but the game at Molineux looks like a potential banana skin for them. With a mean defence and the £100m rated Ruben Neves in good form, they are a dangerous proposition.

Since Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League in 2018, City have failed to beat them in three out of seven meetings.

They lost home and away to an Adama Traore inspired Wolves as Liverpool romped to the title in 2019/20.

The Reds, on the other hand, have beaten the Midlands club in every one of their seven meetings in the top division in that time.

In those games, Liverpool have scored 13 and conceded just once. Jurgen Klopp’s team did lose an FA Cup tie at Molineux in 2019. But otherwise it has been a clean sweep.

Coady likely fulfilled a boyhood dream when he bagged a winner for his team against Everton at Goodison Park earlier in the season.

The Scouser could go one better if he can play a part in Liverpool getting their hands on the Premier League trophy this season.
