Luis Diaz’s performances for Liverpool since joining in January have convinced Darwin Nunez to move to the Premier League.
That’s according to 90min. They claim that the Uruguayan striker has plenty of English clubs interested in signing him.
And Diaz’s displays for Liverpool have ‘played its part’ in the striker deciding that he wants to follow the Colombian in moving from Portugal to England.

The report quotes a ‘source with knowledge of Nunez’s situation’ who claims that the results of Diaz’s impact have been two-fold.
Furstly, Nunez has now decided that England is where he wants to be. And secondly, the club’s interested in him have been given confidence that he can have replicate the Liverpool forward’s instant success story.
Is Nunez Liverpool bound?
This particular report doesn’t mention Liverpool amongst the plethora of interested Premier League clubs.
But The Reds have been linked to Nunez on previous occasions. In October, The Daily Star claimed that the striker was catching Liverpool’s attention.

O Jogo also recently reported that the 22-year-old could end up at Anfield. As translated by Sport Witness, the Portuguese publication claimed that Liverpool would have to stump up as much as £55m to secure his signature.
Jurgen Klopp will soon get the chance to see up-close whether Nunez is worth that kind of money. The Reds take on Benfica in the Champions League quarter-final in April.
Diaz the trail-blazer
Diaz is far from the first player to make the move from Portugal to England. But in terms of attacking players, he has shown that it is possible to make the jump seamlessly.

Bruno Fernandes had a similarly explosive impact upon joining Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in 2020.But Fernandes is a midfielder.
Diaz has shown that it is possible for an attacking player to go from scoring goals in Liga Nos to tearing up the Premier League.
It’s easy to see why this would give teams confidence that 20-goal Nunez can do the same.
