Andy Robertson has returned to training to give Liverpool a boost ahead of their Premier League game this weekend.
Sky Sports report via Football Daily on Twitter that Robertson has joined up with his Scotland teammates in Edinburgh today.
“Scotland are back in training and they’re also boosted today by the return of their skipper Andy Robertson,” said Sky reporter Mark Benstead.

“He’s training today and is back in contention to be part of the squad for the game against Austria tomorrow night.”
That’s brilliant news for Liverpool ahead of a massive month of football. Robertson was missing due to a positive Covid test which meant that he was unlikely to miss any significant amount of time for The Reds.
But to have him back in training a full five days before Liverpool’s game with Watford means that he has plenty of time to make sure he’s ready for that.
Don’t risk Robbo
Robertson’s return means that his illness is unlikely to cause any lasting damage to Liverpool. He did miss the FA Cup quarter-final win over Nottingham Forest before the break.

But Kostas Tsimikas was always likely to start that one anyway. As it was, the Greek international stepped in and did a good job, setting up the only goal of the game and garnering praise from Jurgen Klopp.
Tsimikas is a player who has proven that he can be relied upon during any absences that Robertson may face over the season.
But Klopp has previously gone on record to say that Robbo is still his preferred option. Klopp will be hoping that the Scotland captain isn’t risked for tomorrow’s friendly against Austria.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is facing a race against time to be ready for April’s packed calendar. Klopp could really do without both of his first-choice full-backs being injured at the same time.
The Liverpool manager will be keeping his fingers crossed that Scotland boss Steve Clarke doesn’t feel the need to play Robertson tomorrow.
