One massive European club believe Jurgen Klopp is excited to join them after Liverpool, according to reports. The boss’s contract expires in 2024.
This comes from Defensa Central. They claim that inside sources have told them that Real Madrid believe they can land Jurgen Klopp after he leaves Liverpool.
In fact, Real supposedly know ‘first hand’ that Klopp is excited about the idea. He’s let them know, apparently, and could move there in 2024 when his Liverpool contract expires.
He has no intention of leaving Anfield before then, it says, and he’s made that clear to the Reds’ ownership. Once that contract ends, though, Real could be his destination.

If you think reports like this are grating now, just you wait until 2023! The speculation around Klopp will become unbearable and everyone will try to guess his next destination.
Now, it really does feel as though the boss is off in 2024 and that will be a strange feeling. Klopp will have been at the club nearly nine years by that point and will almost certainly leave of his own accord.
That hasn’t happened with a Liverpool manager since Kenny Dalglish in 1991. We’ll just need to hope that his successor is more Bob Paisley than Graeme Souness.
As for clubs trying to get Klopp, we imagine everyone will try. Real will give it a go, Bayern Munich certainly will, and Paris Saint-Germain are in for any halfway decent coach – let alone one with an actual track record of success.
Klopp is a manager who can transform a club from middling to giant. He’s someone who leaves an incredible impression on his players, too – Ozan Kabak was only around him for six months but came away believing Klopp is ‘very special’.
So there will be a fight for him and Liverpool, unfortunately, will just watch what happens. For what it’s worth, we can’t see Real Madrid being the next club, though. That just doesn’t seem like the project Klopp craves.
