Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has sent some well-wishes to ex-Everton player James Rodriguez after Colombia beat Bolivia last night.
Taking to Instagram, Diaz posted a photo of himself and James dancing together after the victory.
The Liverpool wingers post was captioned with “Que calidad manito”, which translates “what quality, brother.”

It’s unclear whether Diaz is talking about his teammate’s performance on the pitch or his dancing capabilities. But given some of the moves that look to be on display, it must have been that James had a brilliant game for Colombia!
Passing the torch
Diaz has now taken over from James as being Colombia’s most visible player and their talisman.
Rodriguez has been an excellent player for his country over the years, most notably in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Aged just 22, James won both the Golden Boot and Goal of the Tournament award.

But after being moved on by Everton after just one season in the Premier League, he now plays his football in Qatar.
Diaz was already his nations main man before he signed for Liverpool. His incredible performance at last summer’s Copa America confirmed that he had overtaken James as the country’s star player.
But by joining The Reds, the 25-year-old raised his profile yet another notch. It means that much more scrutiny will be placed on his, and Liverpool’s, performances. And if the national team is struggling, as it is currently, he will be the player they look to for inspiration.

In this, Diaz can look to his fellow Liverpool attackers Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah for advice. The two players have carried the hopes of their nations for a long number of years.
It also helps Diaz that Rodriguez is still around. The 30-year-old has so much experience at the top level and can pass along that knowledge to his younger teammate.
Whilst he’s imparting his wisdom on Liverpool’s number 23, perhaps Diaz can teach him some new dance-moves in return.
