TalkSPORT pundit thinks he’s spotted a weakness in Arsenal which Liverpool could exploit tonight

Trevor Sinclair believes there’s a weakness in Arsenal that Liverpool can exploit tonight. The teams meet in a huge Premier League clash.

Liverpool travel to face Arsenal tonight in one of the biggest games of the Premier League season. Both sides are in fantastic form and desperate for wins as they look to achieve their goals.

Liverpool, of course, are trying to keep up with Manchester City. A win tonight puts them just a single point behind the reigning champions – and they’ve still got to play.

But Arsenal could do with three points here, too. They’re trying to finally get back into the Champions League, with this their most difficult game remaining.

It’ll be a tough one for Liverpool, certainly. As Jurgen Klopp pointed out yesterday, the Reds won’t be as fresh as their hosts – and that hands a real advantage to Mikel Arteta’s side.

Perhaps there’s an advantage for Liverpool here, though. Trevor Sinclair appears to believe so and he pointed it out on TalkSPORT.

“The last time [Arsenal] had a really tough game was against Manchester City,” said Sinclair. “When you’re right in it, you’ve got to be comfortably uncomfortable and they lost their heads.

“This will be a test tonight because Liverpool will get around them, they’ll get in their faces. Because they know they have a history of losing their heads – that’s basically how Manchester City won that game.

“They changed their tact and started getting physical with the Arsenal players. It became one of those games where it’s a bit etchy and Arsenal lost their heads.

“They’ve got to keep their heads against Liverpool when it gets tough tonight.”

Arsenal have won five on the bounce and drawn once since losing to Manchester City. And Sinclair is right – that was their last true ‘test’ as they were expected to win the rest.

It was a game they struggled quite badly in. Arsenal started very well before missing a great chance, giving away a penalty and going down to 10 men all in a flash.

Liverpool could well try to force similar tonight and it’s worth remembering that the last time the Reds went to the Emirates, they won 2-0 and Arsenal again went down to 10 men. Perhaps that mentality issue is something they can exploit tonight.
