Jurgen Klopp gave an update on Mohamed Salah after he picked up an injury against Brighton. The Egyptian is a worry for Liverpool vs Arsenal.
Liverpool travel to take on Arsenal tomorrow in a massive game for the title race. The Reds will want to capitalise on Manchester City dropping points to Crystal Palace, of course, but that means winning against a very in-form team.
Mikel Arteta has Arsenal ticking right now – more than anyone has in years. The Gunners are a real threat to Liverpool and victory at the Emirates would be a big statement.
But that means being at your best and Liverpool need their stars for this one. Unfortunately, there’s a worry over the biggest star of all after Mohamed Salah picked up an injury against Brighton.
“Mo is a tough cookie and we were lucky with it,” Klopp told a press conference on Tuesday. “A little bit swollen, a little bit painful. Yesterday a little less swollen, less painful.
“Got the message before the press conference that Mo is ready to train. We will see how that looks.”
Mohamed Salah can overcome injury
This is good news, not great news. It still appears that Salah could miss the fixture and that he definitely won’t be 100% for it.

The Egyptian is so good, though, that we imagine Klopp will risk him if he’s able to. No one should expect a full 90 minutes, however.
And fortunately, Liverpool do have an incredible list of forwards to make up for any absence. That’s a fantastic luxury and we might see it for the first time against Arsenal. Yes, Salah may miss the game but the Reds can guarantee a strong lineup regardless.
But we’ll still cross our fingers that Salah is there.
