Bamba Dieng, a stiker Sadio Mané rates very highly, wants the Liverpool star to join him at his club. Mané has under 18 months left on his contract.
Just how long has Sadio Mané got at Liverpool? It’s very unclear right now, with the Reds’ no.10 now within the final 18 months of his contract. There’s a very big decision coming in the summer.
For what it’s worth, we do suspect that Mané prolonged his Liverpool stay with some fantastic central performance for the team. That versatility makes him incredibly value – and near impossible to replace.
But there will be speculation over Mané future over the next few months unless he signs a new contract. We may even be seeing the start of it.
International teammate Bamba Dieng claims Mané is a big fan of Marseille, where Dieng currently plays. He dreams of the Liverpool star joining him in the south of France.
“He’s an exceptional player,” said Dieng, per Le10Sport. “He also loves OM a lot.
“He told me he watches all the OM games. As soon as we arrive in the national team, he’s happy, he speaks about Marseille. I’d like for him to join us and play here one day.”
Sadio Mané and his Liverpool future
Funnily enough, Mané is also a huge fan of Dieng, having recently tipped him for greatness both in and out of Africa.
“He has all the future in front of him.

“I think [Dieng] can become one of the best strikers not only in Africa but in the world,” he said, again per Le10Sport. “With the qualities he has and if he works even harder, he could do it.”
Not that we think that’s quite enough for Mané to swap Liverpool for Marseille. As historic as OM are, they’re not really in any position to sign a player like the Senegal star.
But perhaps it’s one for down the line. Right now, though, we can expect talk of Mané exit to grow – and for bigger clubs than Marseille to try and tempt him.
