Neco Williams scored a sensational goal as he registered his first two senior goals at club level. The on-loan Liverpool youngster is enjoying himself.
Neco Williams joined Fulham on transfer deadline day – a loan until the end of the season. It is going remarkably well, in all honesty.
Even before Tuesday, Williams was flying as a creative full-back as Fulham continue to tear the Championship apart. Their near-certainties for promotion now and it’s hard to see how anyone stops them taking the crown as champions.
And if anyone was in any doubt of that, the Cottagers shut them up against Swansea City. They went to South Wales and tore their opponents apart, winning 5-1.
Williams was arguably the star of the show, though. He scored twice in the game – his first ever goals at club level – and the second was a remarkable hit.
Swansea cleared the ball to the edge of the box but Williams controlled it on his chest before looping a volley into the far corner. Incredible.

Williams is a player we actually like a lot and Jurgen Klopp clearly does, too. He once labelled the youngster a ‘machine’ in how he goes about his business in training.
He’s come into some very unjust criticism in Red but Williams is unquestionably showing why he’s rated highly at Fulham. There are assists, now there are goals, and he’s helping them win the league.
Liverpool will get a very talented player back this summer but with valuable experience under his belt. Williams will also inevitably have demand for his signature – and that’s the big decision at the end of the season. Can the Welshman be a good first-team player? Or should the Reds cash in?
Every time we watch that goal, we can’t help but lean towards the former.
