Liverpool are reportedly ‘sensing their chance’ to sign Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg for around £33m.
That’s according to Sky Sports Germany who report that Liverpool face competition from PSG, RB Leipzig and, most significantly, Borussia Dortumnd.
A deal has been reported to have been done between Dortmund and the player. But according to the report from Sky, the German club are yet to meet Salzburg’s valuation.

That valuation is set at £33m. It’s claimed that at that price some clubs, particularly those in the Premier League, would ‘take him immediately’.
A name to remember
Adeyemi has been a name linked with Liverpool throughout this season.
Having sold Patson Daka to Leicester City last summer, Salzburg started the campaign with Adeyemi as their number one striking option.
The German youngster hasn’t disappointed. He burst onto the scene with five goals in the opening three games of the season.

Since then he has netted a further 10 in the Austrian Bundesliga, where he is currently the top scorer.
Adeyemi has also impressed in the Champions League. Although he has only scored once in the competition, the 20-year-old was brilliant against Bayern Munich in the last-16 first-leg.
His performance was labelled as ‘fabulous’ by Glenn Hoddle, who watched the game for BT Sport that night.
A star in the making
This season has seen Adeyemi get international recognition too. After his blistering start to the domestic league, the youngster was called up for Germany’s World Cup Qualifiers in September.

Adeyemi came off the bench to score as Germany beat Armenia 6-0.
Salzburg play the second-leg of their Champions League tie with Bayern this evening. It may be worth it for Liverpool fans to catch up on the game after their clash with Inter at Anfield has finished.
Liverpool could well be in the market for another attacking option or two this summer.
£30m sounds like a lot of money to pay for a 20-year-old without experience of one of Europe’s “big leagues”.
But then again, Salzburg have an impeccable record of developing the best young talent in the game. With that in mind, it could turn out to be a steal.
