Liverpool have eyes on Adam Hlozek for the next transfer window, according to reports. The teenager had a sensational season last time out.
This comes from Jeunes Footeux. They claim Liverpool want Adam Hlozek from Sparta Prague. The 19-year-old is having his second consecutive eye-catching season – enough to prompt interest from elsewhere.
The article claims the Reds’ interest is born from two issues at centre-forward right now. Firstly, Divock Origi’s contract expires this summer (half true) and secondly, that Roberto Firmino is in a steady decline (not true).
In reality, Origi’s contract has an option for an extra year – if he plays enough games between now and the summer. Firmino, on the other hand, is less in a decline than he is frequently injured. His stats this season remain remarkable.
So with that said, would it still make sense for Liverpool to sign Hlozek?
Liverpool could look for Adam Hlozek transfer
It’s very easy to see why Liverpool would want Hlozek. He’s 19 years old but already dominates the Czech league with Sparta. In fact, he was the joint-top goalscorer in the league last season.
That’s fantastic for any young player but Hlozek did it despite missing November through March with a metatarsal injury. On top of that, no one averaged more assists per 90 minutes than him as he picked up seven.

It’s a similar story this time around. No one in the league boasts more combined goals and assists than Hlozek – 16 across his team’s opening 22 games. He looks special, basically.
The youngster typically plays in a number 10 role, per Whoscored, but his numbers suggest a player who could push forward into a False 9 role. It’s how Firmino did it, after all. There are few young players who look as natural a successor in that regard – a playmaker who can chip in with a strong number of goals.
It’ll all depend on the price, of course. Hlozek looks fantastic in the Czech Republic but it’s a steep climb from there to the Premier League. With little guarantee that his numbers translate, we can’t imagine Liverpool would pay £20m for the talent.
One to watch, though, certainly.
