Sir Kenny Dalglish says that he has never seen a team score all 11 penalties in a shootout like Liverpool did yesterday.
The King took to Twitter to share his thoughts after Liverpool claimed a record ninth League Cup.
“What a day! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team score all 11 penalties. Congratulations to Jurgen and the boys!” wrote Dalglish.

The 70-year-old was actually the last Liverpool manager to win the trophy. A fact Klopp was keen to remind him of as the two met in the Wembley tunnel post-match.
“You were the last one who won that trophy,” Klopp told the Liverpool legend as per the Carabao Cup official Twitter page.
“I was eh?” replied Kenny with a laugh as the two embraced.
“By the way, your penalties weren’t as good as ours!” teased Dalglish, to which Klopp bellowed with laughter.
A great exchange between two club icons.
Clash of the titans
The fact that every Liverpool player scored their penalties is of course testament to The Reds quality and mentality.
But that they had to go that deep into the shootout is a nod to their opponents, too.
There were two teams in this excellent cup final and Chelsea will feel aggrieved not to have come away with the trophy.

Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount were both guilty of missing big opportunities for The Blues. Liverpool were also lucky to get away with an incredibly tight offside call against Romelu Lukaku.
The game went a long way to displaying how good Liverpool have to be to win trophies at the moment.
Chelsea are current European and World Champions, titles Liverpool held themselves not too long ago.
In Lukaku, Jorginho and Timo Werner, Thomas Tuchel was able to call on almost £200m of talent from his bench. That’s before you consider the £71m Kepa Arizzabalaga who emerged for the penalties.
Meanwhile, Liverpool brough on the likes of free signing James Milner, teenager Harvey Elliott and £10m Divock Origi.

Of course, The Reds have spent a fair amount themselves and Jurgen Klopp showcased his strength in depth when bringing on big money signings Diogo Jota and Ibrahima Konate.
That mixture of big signings as well as more astute, lower-level additions is what make this Liverpool side so good.
To sit 10 points clear of this Chelsea team in the Premier League shows just what a job Klopp is doing here.
It wasn’t long ago that Liverpool winning the League Cup was the best we could hope for. Now it feels like the springboard for a potentially legendary season
Enjoy it Reds!
