Divock Origi has held talks with Napoli about the possibility of joining them from Liverpool.
That comes via tuttomercatoweb.com. They claim that the Liverpool striker has had ‘more contact’ with the Serie A giants over recent weeks.
Napoli reportedly view Origi as the perfect replacement and/or foil for Victor Osimhen.

The 26-year-old could be available on a free transfer this summer. An extension to his Liverpool contract could also reportedly be triggered (The Athletic).
As a free transfer, TuttoMercatoWeb claim that Origi would also be of interest to Atalanta. They was reportedly had contact with the player last summer, but a deal was never done.
The long goodbye
It could well be that Liverpool lose their ultimate cult hero this summer.
Origi’s time at the club had looked to be winding down after he missed nearly six weeks over Christmas and New Year.
He returned from injury to find that a new attacker, Luis Diaz, had been added to the squad. Another player ahead of him in the pecking order.

However, injuries over the last week to Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino – who Klopp said could be out for ‘a while’ (The Mirror) mean that Origi may still get his chance this season.
The Belgian came off the bench on Saturday with Thiago to help reverse Liverpool’s scoreline from 1-0 down to 3-1 up.
Although he didn’t score, Origi showed sharp movement to take defenders away for goals for Mohamed Salah and then Diaz.
A thrilling climax awaits
Liverpool have a cup final on the horizon. Jota faces a race against time to be fit and it seems as though Firmino is almost certainly out.

The smart money would say that Liverpool’s front three on the day would be Diaz, Sadio Mane and Salah. But Origi has every chance of featuring from the bench.
Jurgen Klopp called him an ‘incredible striker’ (via BBC Sport) after his thrilling last-gasp winner at Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the season.
The manager is a massive fan of his player and if will continue to give him chances in the team if possible.
It seemed unlikely just a short time ago, but Origi may well get the opportunity to write another iconic chapter in his Liverpool story yet.
You just can’t write him off!
