Liverpool hero Robbie Fowler is on the shortlist of managers in contention to replace Derek Adams at Bradford City, according to Liverpool World

The Bantams has badly lost their way during 2021/22. After a bright start to the campaign, they have slipped down the division and now sit in 13th place.

Bradford have 14 games left to play and are currently nine points off a spot in the top seven of League Two.

Yesterday, the West Yorkshire-based outfit lost 2-0 to relegation-threatened Oldham and also had Paudie O’Connor sent off.

Fowler would surely love to manage in England at some point during his managerial career.

So far he’s managed Muangthong United, Brisbane Roar and East Bengal but is now keen to take on a domestic-based position.

His last stint with East Bengal didn’t go overly according to plan. His team won just three of the 20 games they played and perhaps Bradford will tread with caution.

Steve Evans provides another option that Bradford are looking at and Fowler is by no means a certainty to end up at Valley Parade.

The 46-year-old is a hero among Liverpool supporters. He won five trophies with the Reds and also helped them to the Champions League during the 2006/07 campaign.

Bradford would be idea first job in England for ex-Liverpool ace Fowler

The Bantams are a massive club in League To terms and they’ve underachieved for a long time.

The job is an exciting one and surely Fowler would be interested in taking the position with the struggling outfit.

Former Liverpool striker Fowler often came up trumps for the Anfield giants and now his focus switches to managing.

It would be interesting to see how Fowler goes at a club in the English pyramid.

He could actually call on Liverpool in the summer to perhaps help him mould his squad with a few stellar loan signings.

Wherever Fowler ends up in England, the Liverpool fan base will be certain to monitor his progress with intrigue.
