Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to renewing acquaintances with Ivan Perisic ahead of the Reds facing Inter tomorrow night.
The Croatian winger spent two seasons playing under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund earlier in his career.
Now, he’s one of Inter’s main men. He has made 236 appearances for the club and last season his form helped the Milanese giants lift the Serie A title.
Perisic was influential under Klopp from 2011 to 2013. During the 2011/12 campaign, Dortmund won the double, with the 111-cap star scoring nine goals and claiming six assists.

The following season proved more of a struggle and the wide man departed in January 2013 to sign for Wolfsburg.
Klopp respects Perisic for the effort he put in during that famous campaign for the Bundesliga giants and is looking forward to a reunion.
He said during today’s press conference: “I am really looking forward to seeing Ivan Perisic. I really like him. We won the double together.”
Liverpool boss Klopp clearly has fond memories of working with Perisic but he will need to park emotion tomorrow night.
The Reds will be hoping to claim title number seven in the competition and Inter will provide formidable opposition.
Liverpool must keep Perisic at close quarters
He might be 33-years-old now but Perisic is still a dangerous player as he proved against England during the 2018 World Cup.
The experienced performer has scored five goals and claimed three assists this season, with his game about more than goals and assists these days.

With away goals now abolished in the Champions League, it’s imperative that Liverpool claim a positive result tomorrow.
Klopp will be under no illusions that Anfield will be rocking for the return leg but there is some business to take care of in the San Siro first.
The Liverpool boss will be hoping his team can keep Perisic under lock and key throughout the two legs.
