Sadio Mané is open to leaving Liverpool, according to reports. The winger has two Champions League clubs in mind for a transfer.

This comes from Goal. They claim that Sadio Mané could leave Liverpool this summer and has alerted his agents to the fact.

Though, it’s not as specific as a strong desire to leave. Instead, Mané has eyes on Barcelona and Real Madrid. They’re two clubs he’s dreamed of playing for his entire career, apparently, and would accept a move to either.

Mané, who just won the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal, is entering an interesting period. His contract expires in 2023 and there’s remarkably little noise around a new one, which will prompt speculation.

After all, Liverpool will feel a strong urge to sell this summer in order to avoid a free transfer in 2023. On top of that, the Reds just signed Luis Diaz – an exciting talent who plays in Mané’s position. There’s never been an easier time to sell the Senegal star.

Sadio Mané could leave Liverpool

We’d absolutely hate to see Mané leave but honestly, things continue to point that way. Liverpool signing Diaz is a huge sign that they’re actually comfortable with the idea.

We see absolutely no chance that Mané leaves the club for free in 2023. It’s also strangely quiet on the contract front and those two things combined point to a summer exit.

But to Barcelona or Real Madrid? We’re not sure the former have the money, while Real boast Vinicius Jr on the left flank. Paying a massive amount of money for Mané doesn’t really add up, especially with talk of Kylian Mbappe dominating their finances.

It promises to be an interesting summer regarding Mané, then. Liverpool may be open to a sale, while the clubs the player wants to move to aren’t really in position. Hopefully, that results in him remaining at Anfield.
