Liverpool are looking at a transfer for Fulham star Fabio Carvalho, according to reports, and the player is absolutely thriving right now. The Reds might be onto something here.
The Athletic are one of many outlets claiming that Liverpool want Fabio Carvalho. The Portuguese playmaker only has six months left on his contract, making him an easy target for clubs who recognise his talent.
Liverpool, supposedly, are one of those clubs. They’ve scouted Carvalho extensively and would like to bring him in this year. Maybe that means waiting and agreeing a contract or perhaps Fulham would sell this month. Either way, there’s a lot of focus on the 19-year-old right now.
So how is he handling that? Transfer attention can rock someone, after all, as the pressure amplifies. That’s even more likely for a teenager, with Carvalho not being a particularly experienced player.
Fortunately, he appears to be thriving – and that will only increase Liverpool’s interest.

Carvalho started this season in brilliant form, scoring three and assisting another across Fulham’s opening four games. Injury struck, however, taking him out of the picture for two months.
He struggled to have much of an impact over November and December, in truth, but it does appear that Carvalho is now back to his best. The attacking midfielder has a fantastic record over his last three games.
Four goals, an assist, four created chances, six dribbles and four tackles – what more can you possible ask for over a short spell? It’s the kind of form that will push any interest into overdrive and we wouldn’t be shocked if Liverpool make a serious move over the next week.
If this form keeps up, signing Carvalho in the summer will only become more difficult. He’s showing an ability to perform under scrutiny – with his immediate future on the line, in fact – and that’s worth a lot to teams.
This is one to watch, then. Carvalho could well be the next addition to Liverpool’s growing young group.
