Liverpool have released the latest batch of training pictures from Tuesday night. The Reds are gearing up to face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Thursday. There were plenty of smiles at the AXA Training Centre as Liverpool looked smart in a new dark green training kit.
It was a big moment for Harvey Elliott as he returned to full training for the first time since September.

Jurgen Klopp couldn’t hide his delight as the 18-year-old made his much anticipated return. The manager was visibly upset after Elliott’s ankle injury earlier in the season against Leeds. But the two enjoyed a great moment on Tuesday evening as Klopp welcomed back the teenager.

It’s unlikely that Elliott will feature too much in the next two or three games. But his availability will be a big lift to the squad and gives Klopp another midfield option.
In Elliott’s absence Kaide Gordon has become the talk of the town. Klopp could be seen deep in discussion with the 17-year-old during the session. It’s great to see Jurgen getting so involved in the development of both Elliott and Gordon. Their development will be aided no end from having the German oversee it.

Elsewhere, Nat Phillips doesn’t look to have a move imminently planned. The 24-year-old is reported to be on his way out of Liverpool this month. But given that he was involved for training last night, he should be here for a little while longer at least.

Spirits look high in the squad ahead of another big week. Roberto Firmino is going to be key again with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane still away and he enjoyed a joke and a wrestle with Kostas Tsimikas. Careful Kostas, we need him fit!

Unfortunately there was no sign of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who came off injured against Brentford on Sunday. There has been no confirmation of the injury sustained by the 28-year-old. When it comes to injuries no news is usually bad news with Liverpool.
Frustratingly Thiago Alcantara was also uninvolved as he looks to shake off an apparent hip injury.
