Report: Liverpool target Carney Chukwuemeka wants to leave Aston Villa

Philippe Coutinho could push a Liverpool target out of Aston Villa, according to reports. The Reds may take advantage of the situation.

This comes from Talksport. They say that Philippe Coutinho joining Aston Villa may force Carney Chukwuemeka out of the club.

“Keep an eye on a young player who has got a bit of game time for Aston Villa lately, Carney Chukwuemeka,” said journalist Alex Crook. “He is out-of-contract at the end of the season.

“I am told that he has no plans to sign a new deal at Villa. There are big clubs, not just in the Premier League, but in Europe looking at him.

“I think he is a bit disappointed at the arrival of Coutinho, probably will again limit his game time, so he is a player that has a bright future. But not at Aston Villa.”

This follows on from the Guardian reporting back in November that Liverpool had eyes on Chukwuemeka. They’re one of many, of course, but it appears that Coutinho arriving will only firm his intentions to leave this year.

Chukwuemeka is considered one of the most talented young players in England right now, earning praise from all corners. Villa executive Christian Purslow labelled him the “best 16-year-old in England” not too long ago.

Villa stiker Ollie Watkins believes he could become “unbelievable”, too – they won’t want to lose him.

Liverpool, then, will like the look of this one. Chukwuemeka’s chances of making it at Villa shrank with Coutinho arriving and now the Reds could take advantage.

They’ve already got so many talented young players and Chukwuemeka could be another. One to watch, then, as Liverpool continue to look towards their future.
