Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was in awe watching back a moment from Diogo Jota in Liverpool vs Arsenal this season. He simply hadn’t seen it happen before.
Liverpool published a video on Tuesday that saw Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Diogo Jota commentate on their game vs Arsenal this season. It’s really just an advertisement for Quorn but a fun little video all the same.
This was one of Liverpool’s best performances of the season, of course, as they smashed the Gunners 4-0. The Reds dominated from start to finish, scoring some really impressive goals.
The best of them came from Mohamed Salah, though the Egyptian only provided the finish. It saw the side build from the back, with Alisson producing a long-range pass into Kostas Tsimikas on the left flank.
The Greek heads it into the middle of the pitch, right on halfway, where Jota is waiting. He then produced a sensational through-ball for Sadio Mane with his head, who went on to cross for Salah.
It was a brilliant, genius piece of football from Jota and Oxlade-Chamberlain was full of praise for his teammate.
“I’ve never seen a header like that,” he said to his Liverpool teammate. “The boys are saying you’re better at passing the ball with your head than your feet, any thoughts on that?

“I mean, look at that. I don’t know how you’ve pinged this ball 30 yards down the line, maybe 40, with your head.”
Diogo Jota shines for Liverpool vs Arsenal
Jota has had plenty of incredible moments this season but we’d have this one right up there with the best. No, it didn’t provide him with a goal or assist but the no.20 somehow carved Arsenal open with his head.
Hopefully, Jota is good to start for Liverpool against the Gunners on Thursday. Because another performance like this – he also scored in the game, after all – and the Reds can put one foot in the final.
