The former Premier League champions were linked with the forward back in August and he remains on Jurgen Klopp’s radar.
Barnes has come through the academy at Leicester and has been one of Brendan Rodgers’ standout performers.
This season he has scored four goals and registered four assists, with 25 goals and 19 assists in total for the Foxes.
Barnes typically operates anywhere on the left-hand side and he’d certainly be a useful addition to the Liverpool squad.
Klopp hasn’t bolstered his attacking arsenal for a couple of years and it’s fair to say some more depth is required.
Barnes is a proven Premier League performer and at 24 he fits the ethos of a player that could thrive at Liverpool.
Klopp would relish the chance to polish Barnes into a star player just like he has done with Sadio Mane over the years.
The Liverpool boss is a big fan of the Foxes star. Back in February, he called him ‘unbelievable’ during a press conference ahead of a clash against Leicester.

Barnes is at a good club in Leicester but a move to Liverpool would undoubtedly represent a dream move.
The £100,000-a-week player is supremely quick, glides past players and is also capable of weighing in with goals and assists.
Barnes will hope to get the nod tonight so that he can showcase his class to Klopp once again.
Liverpool are masters at signing players who are below the world-class bracket and then propelling them to elite status.
