Liverpool drew Inter Milan in yesterday’s draw for the last 16 of the Champions League – and Alisson Becker will be searching for a first.
The Reds had originally drawn RB Salzburg. An error in the pulling of the balls meant that a re-draw was required, however.
Liverpool weren’t quite so fortunate at the second time of asking and pulled the reigning Serie A champions.
Still, it’s a tie that Liverpool should be confident of winning and for Alisson there will be a box he’d like to tick.

Having spent time playing in Serie A with Roma, the 26-year-old has come up against the Milanese giants on four occasions.
Twice he was on the bench and in the other two games he was on the losing side.
As a result, he’s yet to keep a clean sheet against the famous outfit and he’ll hope to tick one off when he faces them with Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have been flying during 2021/22. With injuries from last season now easing, Liverpool have flexed their title credentials once more.
A large part of that has been down to the solidity of the defence.
Virgil van Dijk takes a lot of the credit for Liverpool’s brilliance at the back but Alisson has kept 11 clean sheets during 18 appearances this season.
Alisson will be integral to Liverpool fortunes against Inter
Although Klopp will fancy coming out on top against Inter over two legs, the Italian champions do have some good players.
Lautaro Martinez is one of Europe’s best forwards, whilst Hakan Calhanoglu, Edin Dzeko, Arturo Vidal and Marcelo Brozovic are just a few who will need to be kept at close quarters.

- STRANGE: Liverpool star misses out on accolade
Alisson will want to secure a first clean sheet against Inter when the two sides meet.
If he does achieve that in both legs, you’d have to fancy Liverpool to score in at least one of the games to secure a quarter-final berth.
The games promise to be classics but Alisson will be one Liverpool man with a point to prove.
