Mohamed Salah is in the form of his life and former Chelsea striker and Premier League legend, Didier Drogba, would like to see him return to Stamford Bridge.
Not only did the Egyptian score his 17th club goal of the season, he did so in such a classy fashion that it’s becoming impossible for rival fans to deny his brilliance.
Salah feinted to shoot, causing Mateus Uribe to dive in before the Reds’ no.11 finished in the near bottom corner, giving the goalkeeper, Diego Costa, no chance.
It is his 11th goal in 10 games (along with five assists) and it’s a massive shame for Liverpool fans that he will be heading to AFCON, as it reduces the number of goals he can get this season at club level.
Drogba says that Salah will be the best player in the world regardless of whether he leaves Liverpool, believing his greatness does not rely on the club or system he is playing in.
“If I am selfish, I will tell Salah to leave Liverpool and return to Chelsea,” Drogba joked when speaking on Al-Axis TV.
“My opinion is that Salah will remain the best, no matter if he continues at Liverpool or if he moves.
“Any other team would perform better [with him] because he understands what he is doing, is good at scoring and creating goals, and only needs the confidence of the coach.
“I do not know what his decision would be. This is his decision alone and his future, but wherever he goes, I will be one of his fans.”

FSG are yet to reach an agreement with Salah over his contract and, the longer it drags on, the more it seems like there are hurdles that will not be overcome in negotiations.
However, Salah’s body language and performances show he is still in love with Liverpool and wants to stay at the club.
