Mohamed Salah named Premier League Player of the Month

After being snubbed in September for some unknown reason, Mo Salah has been named as the Premier League’s Player of the Month for October.

The Egyptian has been incredible this season for Liverpool and he could set personal, club and league records if he maintains his form throughout the rest of the campaign.

So far, he has 10 Premier League goals in 11 games. In October alone, he got seven goals and assisted a further four, leading to many declaring him as the best player in the world on current form.

The only thing that upsets me is that he will be gone for a month due to AFCON so he will miss out on at least three or four goals. But if he can help Egypt to the AFCON trophy, he will further enhance his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or next year.

Of course, that will require him to maintain this form into 2022 and win a trophy with Liverpool this season as well.

The way he is playing, it wouldn’t surprise me if he managed it. Not only is he in great form domestically, he has also got five Champions League goals to match.

Hopefully, Liverpool can go deep into the League Cup and FA Cup as the Reds are yet to win any of the domestic cups under Jurgen Klopp. But with Manchester City eliminated, this is his best shot of winning it.

Salah will be able to add another trophy to his haul and, in what could be a legacy-defining season for the former Chelsea star, Liverpool need to do everything they can to help him win everything.

FSG signed Salah for just £34million and is arguably the greatest signing the club has ever made.
