Conor Bradley can't get over what he sees from Mohamed Salah every day

Conor Bradley labelled Mohamed Salah ‘an inspiration’ after working with him every day. The teenager is one of Liverpool’s brightest prospects.

It’s been a wonderful season for Conor Bradley so far. He’s made his Liverpool debut, made another appearance since and really established himself as an up-and-coming right-back.

He faces a tough task in that position, of course. Not only is Trent Alexander-Arnold only a few years older but Neco Williams is there, too. Bradley has an almighty fight on to move up in the pecking order.

Fortunately, he has senior teammates who push him to improve every day. One of those is Mohamed Salah, who Bradley believes is ‘an inspiration’.

Bradley on Salah

“Any time I’m with the first team I go to the gym and [Salah]’s already in there doing his core work or stretching,” Bradley told Sky Sports News.

“It’s just a little thing, but it’s why he’s one of the best in the world. He works so hard.

“It’s an inspiration for me that if you want to be one of the best you have to train like it and act like it.”

It’s a real benefit of having proven champions in the squad. Youngsters can move into the first-team setup and see exactly what it takes to reach those elite levels.

Salah is, arguably, the finest example of that. In fact, Pep Lijnders told a story in pre-season about the Egyptian inspiring Harvey Elliott.

Bradley and Elliott are two of Liverpool’s brightest prospects. They could well operate on the right-flank together one day.

Both go into work and see someone like Salah showing them how to push themselves to new heights every single day. You can’t understate how important that is.

Salah isn’t just a wonderful player for Liverpool right now – he’s inspiring the next generation, too.
