Fabrizio Romano says that Liverpool ‘love’ Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma but will not make any panic buys.
The La Liga side agreed a £21.3million deal with Bournemouth to sign Danjuma and he has been fantastic in the Champions League.
The Dutchman has two goals and two assists for his new club, according to WhoScored, and Romano said on his Here We Go podcast he is a player that is loved by Liverpool but they won’t rush into any deals this winter transfer window.
“Liverpool are looking for wingers because in January they’ll be losing Salah and Mané,” Romano said. “No panic buys.

“Only if they have a good opportunity they’ll do it. I am told Liverpool love Danjuma, but Villarreal have no intentions of opening talks in January.”
Before he moved to Spain, Danjuma was linked with a move to Anfield, so it would seem the Merseysiders have retained their interest in him. However, they will face a much bigger challenge to sign him now that he has already left the Cherries.
Jurgen Klopp does need a new winger to bring into the side when Mane and Salah leave for AFCON and I’d love to see Danjuma arrive. But I’m glad to hear that Liverpool will not rush into a deal and are taking care to avoid a potential panic buy.
It would not solve Liverpool’s depth issue if they signed a sub-par forward and were locked into a long-term contract without any return on their investment.
