Bayern Munich have a plan to sign Karim Adeyemi early, according to reports. It’s one Liverpool should absolutely match.
This comes from Spox. They claim that Bayern Munich are lining up a January transfer for Karim Adeyemi. Though, it’s not straightforward.
Bayern know that interest in the 19-year-old will only grow. He’s started this season on fire, after all, shining in both the Austrian Bundesliga and Champions League for RB Salzburg.
And so if Bayern want the player, they need to act quickly. It’s not even a matter of price – convincing the player simply becomes more difficult with more teams involved.
Their big problem, then, is that Salzburg aren’t necessarily okay with selling in January. Sky Germany recently claimed a summer transfer is on the cards but the club want him for the rest of this season.
Bayern have a compromise in mind, though. They’re willing to sign Adeyemi in January but immediately loan him back to Salzburg. That way, both clubs could get what they want.
Liverpool must match Bayern Adeyemi plan
We’re big fans of Adeyemi. Sky Germany’s suggested price tag – around £30m – sounds comfortable to us, too.
But Liverpool are in the same boat as Bayern. They’ve got a long-standing interest in the player, reportedly dating back to a trial in 2016. Other clubs are only becoming more interest, however, and that interest won’t count for much before long.
Right now, though, Liverpool can feel confident in their scouting and understanding of the player. Like Bayern, they can maybe make a move here before other clubs are finished figuring things out.
And if Adeyemi is as good as he looks – and his performances keep suggesting he is – then time is running out. Bayern’s plan is a sound one and Liverpool should be offering similar.
