Liverpool have made some clever signings during the FSG era. None have provided value for money like the Egyptian King. Due to his lethal goal scoring record he is attracting attention. Barcelona allegedly want to sign Mo Salah from Liverpool on the cheap.
The Egyptian King
Liverpool signed Mo Salah from Roma in 2017.
When he arrived some eyebrows were raised. Fans and pundits wondered whether he has what it takes to cut it in the Premier League following his failed spell at Chelsea.
He proved all his doubters wrong and he did so quickly.
In his debut season for the Reds he scored 32 Premier League goals, breaking the record for strikes in a 38 game season.
Since then he’s gone on to smash records for fun, he recently became the fastest player to 100 league goals for the Reds, achieving the feat in 151 games.
Barcelona want Mo Salah on the cheap
It’s all gone wrong over at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona are a shambles. Lionel Messi has left, the club is in mountains of debt and performances on the pitch are dire.
This week they were beaten 3-0 by Benfica.
El Nacional has reported that Barcelona want to sign Mo Salah in an effort to turn their fortunes around.
The outlet has claimed that the Spanish side want to snap him up on the cheap in the summer with the Egyptian entering the final year of his deal at the end of the season.
What RTK has to say
If he wants to go and witness the last days of Rome then he can be our guest.
We can’t see Mo Salah being foolish enough to board the sinking ship that is Barcelona.
However, the report does emphasise the need to tie the Egyptian down to a new deal in the near future. We can’t risk being bullied into a cheap sale.
