Liverpool have plenty to be excited about this season. The Reds have been in strong form in the league, so strong that they top the table. In addition we’ve seen key stars return and youngsters emerge. Kaide Gordon has been pictured with the Liverpool first team ahead of the clash with Porto.
Liverpool Champions League group
When the draw was made for the Champions League group stage Kopites everywhere let out an audible gasp.
Liverpool were drawn in the group of death, arguably one of the hardest groups we could’ve possibly been handed.
The Reds will come up against AC Milan, Porto and Atletico Madrid.
Jürgen Klopp’s side started the stage strongly with a 3-2 home win over AC Milan.
This week the Reds travel to Porto to take on a side Klopp has made a habit of beating comfortably.
Kaide Gordon pictured with Liverpool ahead of Porto clash
This season has seen the exciting emergence of a star of the future.
Kaide Gordon made his Liverpool debut against Norwich this month and he impressed fans and pundits alike.
The teenager has been lighting up the academy since his switch from Derby County in January.
This week Kaide Gordon has been pictured with the Liverpool first team ahead of the clash with Porto.
The photo raises further questions about the wonderkid’s role given that he was left out of the U23s squad to face Chelsea at the weekend.
What RTK has to say
Unfortunately, Kaide Gordon can’t face Porto this week.
The youngster hasn’t been with the Reds long enough to be included on the B list, meaning he’d have to be named in the full 24 man squad to feature in the competition this season.
However, the fact that he appears to be with the first team still and not the U23s is intriguing to say the least.
Will we be seeing him on the bench in the league in the near future?
