Report: Liverpool hold a strong interest in Federico Chiesa

Liverpool are in need of a forward, a versatile one ideally. The Reds need a younger world class player to come in to eventually succeed one of our current attackers. According to Calcio Mercato, Liverpool hold a strong interest in Federico Chiesa.

Succession plan

It’s time to start thinking about bringing in younger forwards.

The Reds’ attacking trio are all turning 30-years-old before the start of next season.

As a result there’s a need for rejuvenation on the horizon.

The ideal way to do this would be to bring in a top quality, young attacker who can challenge an existing member of the squad before ousting them in a year or two.

Liverpool have strong interest in Chiesa

Throughout the summer the Reds were linked with dozens of forwards but no move was made.

As a result the rumour mill has kept on spinning with reports in Italy throwing up an exciting prospect.

CalcioMercato has claimed that Liverpool have a strong interest in Federico Chiesa.

The Italian winger has been tipped for a Ballon d’Or in the coming years by club legend Alessio Tacchinardi.

The Reds are allegedly set to battle Chelsea and Bayern Munich for the £86m rated forward.

What RTK has to say

This is a fantasy signing.

Liverpool dont’ have the money to secure Chiesa.

Furthermore, Juventus have their obligation to buy. It would take a lot to get the Turin side to give up their star of the future.

As much as we’d love this to go through, we just can’t see it happening.
