Liverpool have earned a reputation as savvy operators in the transfer market. The Reds have bought low and sold high (sometimes very high). Perhaps our greatest ever sale came in 2018 but the player could be returning to England. Philippe Coutinho is reportedly wanted by Spurs and Arsenal.

The rise and fall of Philippe Coutinho
There was a time when Philippe Coutinho was the best attacking midfielder in the world.
He could do no wrong at Liverpool (apart from forcing a move away).
The little magician constantly astounded us with his dribbling ability, vision and knack for coming up with a goal when we needed him.
In his final half a season at Liverpool he netted seven and assists six in 14 Premier League games, he had five goals and two assists in five European Cup games.
Then he joined Barcelona and it all went wrong. He couldn’t live up to his price tag and he quickly fell down the pecking order.
The Brazilian was loaned to Bayern Munich and even netted against his parent club but he didn’t earn a permanent switch.
This term he’s managed just 82 minutes in the league.
Philippe Coutinho wanted by Spurs and Arsenal
Every time we approach a transfer window there is a rumour that the playmaker could get his move away, his chance to revive his career.
This time out El Nacional has reported that Philippe Coutinho is wanted by Spurs and Arsenal.
The two sides are allegedly contemplating a battle to loan the Brazilian in the January transfer window.
What RTK has to say
It’d be great to see Philly back in the Premier League.
The Brazilian is one of the best the division has seen when he’s at his best.
Unfortunately it all went wrong for him somewhere along the line.
Hopefully he gets the chance to turn his luck around with one of the North London sides.
