Layton Stewart’s promotion and injury left a striking hole in the U18s.

Cannonier has filled that hole superbly and we are getting excited.

It won’t be long before we see another promotion.

The teenager’s performances may even merit a spot on the bench in the EFL Cup this season.

However, he’ll face stiff competition from the likes of Kaide Gordon.

In addition, Mateusz Musialowski will be hoping for a place in the side.
