Liverpool fans wanted a striker signed over the summer. The Reds are shy of a natural number nine. Despite this obvious need the club decided against making a move. One man has been touted as a potential January signing. However, reports have claimed that Chelsea have already tried to sign Karim Adeyemi in the past.

The 19-year-old German striker is the next best thing, straight off the Red Bull production line.

Before the international break he had six goals in six games for Salzburg in the league.

During the international break he made his senior debut for Germany and capped the landmark moment with a goal.

A lethal striker set for the top, it’s no wonder why the top clubs in Europe at queuing up for his signature.

Some clubs have had their eye on the forward for some years.

Reports have claimed the Chelsea tried to sign Karim Adeyemi when the striker was 16-years-old.

The Express has stated that the Blues flew him over to London two years ago for talks.

However, the player and his camp decided it would be better for his development if he stayed with Salzburg. The report adds that the Reds are one of a number of interested parties.
