Liverpool fans have been starved of a marquee signing for a couple of years now. The Reds haven’t made one of those headline grabbing moves since the summer we lost the Champions League final in Kiev. That could all change next summer. Sport1 has confirmed reports that Liverpool want to sign Jude Bellingham.
Why Liverpool need a midfielder
It’s no secret that plenty of Kopites wanted a midfielder signed this summer.
The Reds lost the nigh on ever-present Gini Wijnaldum on a free transfer to PSG.
The Dutchman’s reliability was crucial to Liverpool’s success.
His departure has left a vacuum of consistency with the boss now relying heavily on players with spotty injury records.
Furthermore there is a need to build the next midfield with Jordan Henderson turning 32-years-old before the start of next season.
Liverpool want Jude Bellingham
All summer there was talk of the Reds moving for Florian Neuhaus or Renato Sanches.
No such move materialised and now the club is being linked with a move ambitious move.
Sport1’s chief reporter Patrick Berger has confirmed reports that Liverpool want to sign Jude Bellingham next summer.
This comes after the Daily Star claimed the Reds are plotting an £80m swoop for the talented teenager Jordan Henderson recently described as a ‘fantastic player’.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool signing Jude Bellingham would be the absolute dream.
At just 18-years-old he has his whole career ahead of him and the world at his feet.
Signing him now would provide the Reds with a midfielder who could define our next decade.
He is getting better every week and he’ll be intent on emulating Steven Gerrard given how much he admires the Scouser.
Make it happen.
