Lack of depth

As it stands Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino are competing for three places in the starting lineup.

That is simply not enough.

A couple of injuries and we have to turn to Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.

The Belgian has proven ineffective in recent years (unless it’s the biggest game of the season) whilst the Japan international is seemingly untrusted by Jürgen Klopp.

Not only does the lack of numbers in the final third mean an injury crisis can derail us but it means a lack of competition.

Liverpool want Karim Adeyemi

The Reds could be set to resolve the lack of depth in the final third.

According to reports out of Germany, Liverpool want Karim Adeyemi.

Bild has claimed the Reds are fighting Barcelona and Bayern Munich for the wonderkid’s signature.

The 19-year-old striker recently netted on his Germany debut having scoring six goals in six games for Red Bull Salzburg this season.

According to Bild the forward is now worth around £17m.

What RTK has to say

Liverpool signing Adeyemi makes plenty of sense.

He wouldn’t expect to be an automatic starter but he has the quality to step up when needed.

Over the years he will establish himself as a regular starter whilst his value increases; an ideal FSG buy.

Fingers crossed the Reds come out on top in this one, he is a future star.
